CARRIED OVER: Negotiate cost savings per 10% Bid Law. Public Works will use City forces to remove the existing shrubbery portion. Omitted under drain for flower beds portion. With these cost savings, the contract price is $31,117.23. We need additional funds in the amount of $6,117.23.
Res. 19-1149 appropriated $25,000 for the Pine St/Hwy 98 corner Improvement Project and Res 19-1223 appropriated $10,300 for electrical improvements for this project. Bids were opened at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 with E-J Builders, Inc being the sole bidder in the amount of $34,574.70. After reviewing the Scope of Work, we removed Items 15 & 16 ($2,195.20), bringing the total cost for E-J Builders to $32,,379.50. We need to increase the budget by $7,379.50.
