Summary
The Horticulture Department requests to go to bid and purchase a new truck. The new truck is included in the FY19 Budget as a water truck under account# 100-5050-5100 for up to $45,000.00. It would replace a 2003 Ford F-350 Truck - Asset# 10312, Vehicle# 505021 (Old 2621), VIN# 1FDWF36P13ED49864, which has 53,260 Miles on it. Vehicle# 505021 (Old 2621) is no longer suitable for the increased daily demands and usage because of the increased down time due to needed repairs lately. The Horticulture Department also requests that vehicle #505021 (Old 2621) be kept as a spare for other needs.
