Vehicle# 505021 (Old 2621) is no longer suitable for the increased daily demands and usage because of the increased down time due to needed repairs lately. The Horticulture Department also requests that vehicle #505021 (Old 2621) be kept as a spare for other needs.

WHEREAS, The Horticulture Department requests to go to bid and purchase a new truck for up to $45,000, and
WHEREAS, a new truck is included in the FY19 budget as a water truck under account 100-5050-5100 for $45,000, and
WHEREAS, the new truck is a replacement for a 2003 Ford F-350 Truck - Asset# 10312, Vehicle# 505021 (Old 2621), VIN# 1FDWF36P13ED49864, which has 53,260 miles on it. It is no longer suitable and has too much down time, and
WHEREAS, the Horticulture Department also requests that vehicle #505021 (Old 2621) be kept as a spare for other needs.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves to go to bid and purchase a budgeted vehicle under account 100-5050-5100 for an amount not to exceed $45,000.
SECTION 2: Approves to keep 2003 Ford F-350 Truck - Asset# 10312, Vehicle# 505021 (Old 2621), VIN1FDWF36P13ED49864 as a spare for other needs.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
