A Resolution Authorizing a planned Capital Project for the Sports Tourism Event Center Signage
Summary
There is a need for the signage to help distinguish the location of the Event Center. A two-sided illuminating sign will display Foley Event Center. This project was included in the FY24 Capital Project Plan. Sports Tourism requests permission to issue a Request for Proposal to receive pricing and options for the sign and award this project up to $50,000.

WHEREAS, there is a need for a two-sided illuminating sign in order to advertise the location of the Foley Event Center, and,
WHEREAS, this project was included in the FY24 Capital Project Plan, and
WHEREAS, Sports Tourism requests permission to issue a Request for Proposal to receive pricing and options for a new sign and award this project up to $50,000.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves starting this project and advertising to solicit responses to an RFP for the design and construction of new signage.
SECTION 2: Appropriates funds in the amount of $50,000 to account 400-5041-5106 Sports Tourism Event Center Signage.
SECTION 3: Approves awarding this project in an amount not to exceed that which is appropriated.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
