Bids for the Mel Roberts Park Pavilion/Bathroom project were originally opened on November 19th, 2020 with one bidder coming in over budget. All bids were rejected. The project was rebid and those bids were opened on January 28, 2021. There were two bidders EJ Builders and Anchor Engineering. Both bids were over the $100,000 originally budgeted for this project and rejected. We currently have $94,274 allocated to the project and are requesting an addition of $85,726 are requesting to go to bid with an increased total budget of $180,000.

WHEREAS, bids for the Mel Roberts Park Pavilion project were originally opened on November 19th, 2020 with one bidder coming in over budget and all bids were rejected, and
WHEREAS, the project was rebid and those bids were opened on January 28, 2021, and all bids were rejected,
WHEREAS, the Capital Project request has been increased to $180,000
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Council approves allocation of an additional $85,726 to account #400-5010-5100 for the Mel Roberts Park Bathroom Project.
SECTION 2: Council approves permission to bid the Mel Roberts Park Bathroom Project and authorizes permission to move forward with the project if within budget amount of $180,000.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
