A Resolution appropriating funds for a robotic line painter for Foley Sports Tourism.
Summary
A robotic line painter can paint a soccer field by itself within 30 minutes. The normal time for lining and painting a field is 45 minutes for 3 workers and lines are not always straight. The painter operates off of GPS and can utilize several different field layouts with minimal setup. The time, labor and accuracy would improve with the purchase of a second robotic painter. We currently have issues trying to overcome quick turnarounds, weather delays, and new layouts that require us to paint manually. The estimated amount for purchase is $46,000, but we will only need $40,000 as a returning customer. The painters helps us with all of our Foley Sports Tourism Sports as well as the high school football.
