Riviera Utilities wishes the city to consider selling the Fire Department property down on county road 12 as identified in the attached appraisal to them for the purpose of using the property to expand their water system in that quadrant of the city.  Their proposal is to purchase it for the appraised value, however, they would also give Chief Darby a grace period of not less than 12 months to relocate any equipment stored in the metal building.

     NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Foley City Council onFebruary 15, 2021 to set a public hearing to consider passage of an ordinance to declare certain real property located at 22271 County Road 12 in Foley, Alabama surplus and no longer needed for municipal purposes and authorizing the sale of the same to Riviera Utilities.
