The Foley Fire Department has identified various needs for additional portable lighting to be used at City functions, events, and emergency scenes. With new LED lighting technology, this need can be met with purchasing 3 portable LED balloon lights on stands operated by small inverter generators. We will need an additional generator to add to our current inventory of generators to insure that we have adequate resources. Although this is an unbudgeted purchase request, we have $8636.82 remaining in our capital purchases account to transfer to our small tools account due to savings from our purchase of hydraulic rescue tools. The total cost of the lights and generator is $9625, so we are requesting and additional $988.18 in unbudgeted funds in our small tools account.

WHEREAS, the Foley Fire Department has identified various needs for additional portable lighting to be used at City functions, events, and emergency scenes.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the purchase of (3) portable PBL 900W Prism LED balloon lights from GreenCo and (1) Predator 2000 inverter generator from Harbor Freight (using United Bank VISA) for a total of $9625.
SECTION 2: Approves the budget transfer of funds of $8636.82 from the Fire Department Capital Purchases account 100-2020-5100 to Small Tools account 100-2020-6053.
SECTION 3: Approves a budget increase of $988.18 to the Fire Department Small Tools account 100-2020-6053.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
