WHEREAS, the general election for the City of Foley was duly and legally held on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, as provided by law, and
WHEREAS, the municipal governing body of the City of Foley met on this 1st day of September, 2020, all members thereof being present, at 12 o'clock p.m., and has canvassed the returns, and has ascertained and determined the number of votes received by each candidate, and
WHEREAS, the said municipal governing body has ascertained and determined the result of said election as shown on the attached City of Foley 2020 Municipal Election Tally Sheet.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: That Ralph G. Hellmich received a majority of the votes cast for the office of City of Foley Mayor and is hereby declared duly elected to that office for the term beginning on the first Monday in November, 2020.
SECTION 2: That Wayne Trawick received a majority of the votes cast for the office of City of Foley District 1 Council Member and is hereby declared duly elected to that office for the term beginning on the first Monday in November, 2020.
SECTION 3: That Richard Dayton received a majority of the votes cast for the office of City of Foley District 3 Council Member and is hereby declared duly elected to that office for the term beginning on the first Monday in November, 2020.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
