A Resolution to Appoint Donna Turbyfill and Sharon Knight as Regular Members to the Personnel Actions Committee to fill the vacancies left by Skip Davis and Perry Wilbourne.
Body
WHEREAS, the State of Alabama Ethics Commission says that public officials/board members fall under the State Ethics Law, and therefore should have the opportunity to educate themselves regarding this law, and
WHEREAS, the Alabama Ethics Commission has recently developed an online video training of the Alabama Ethics Law, which can be accessed at their website at www.ethics.alabama.gov, and
WHEREAS, all newly appointed and reappointed board members must submit a copy of their training certification to the City of Foley as a condition to being appointed/reappointed to the boards, and
WHEREAS, there are currently two vacancies on the Personnel Actions Committee, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Appoints Donna Turbyfill to the Personnel Actions Committee beginning September 8, 2020.
SECTION 2: Appoints Sharon Knight to the Personnel Actions Committee beginning September 8, 2020.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
