WHEREAS, the Police Department's K-9 Division has a need to continue to train their K-9 officers, and
WHEREAS, Peace Lutheran Church as agreed to continue to let the City use a portion of their property for the training in exchange for keeping the grass mowed.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves renewing the Ground Lease Agreement for another five-year term with Peace Lutheran Church for a nominal fee of $1.00 per year in exchange for grass mowing for Tax Map Parcel No. 54-08-28-2-000-036.001: 8250 Roscoe Road, Gulf Shores, AL. 36542. The Police Department will be responsible for this activity.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
