WHEREAS,the Foley Police Department has seven (7) Watchguard camera systems that are no longer being effectively utilized, and
WHEREAS, the Police Department requests Council to declare the Watchguard systems out of patrol vehicles: Unit 116, Unit 117, Unit 217, Unit 317, Unit 118, unit 218, and Unit 518 as surplus, and
WHEREAS, these camera systems had an original purchase price of approximately $6000. The camera systems will be donated to Summerdale Police Department and Summerdale will pay any costs for the removal of the equipment from the vehicles.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the request to declare these seven (7) Watchguard camera systems as surplus and be donated to Summerdale Police Department.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
