Whereas, the City was awarded an HSIP Safety Grant to design and construct offset left turn lanes at FBE and CR 12, and
WHEREAS, the funding agreement was accepted by RES 18-1313 and amended by RES 20-1003, and
WHEREAS, the construction plans are now complete and ready to publicly bid, and
WHEREAS, ALDOT must approve the draft CE&I fees and contract for proper reimbursement per grant agreement, and
WHEREAS, the City has separately funded the design of additive alternate elements which are not grant-eligible, and
WHEREAS, Engineering has solicited a proposal for additional CE&I services should the additive alternate be awarded.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Accepts the draft agreement and fees for CE&I services for the HSIP project with Thompson Engineering and forward same to ALDOT for review.
SECTION 2: Hereby authorizes the Mayor to execute same upon final approval by ALDOT after bids are received.
SECTION 3: Hereby authorizes the Mayor to execute a separate agreement for CE&I services with Thompson Engineering contingent upon award of additive alternate work.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
