A Resolution Approving Application for the ADECA Volkswagen Settlement Eligible Mitigation Action Item Projects
Summary
The Energy Division of the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs is seeking applications from Alabama Government and Non-Government entities. Projects under this Request for Applications (RFA) will be funded, in whole or in part, with funds from the Volkswagen Settlement Beneficiary Mitigation. Eligible applicants are Government and Non-Government entities in Alabama looking to upgrade equipment approved by the Volkswagen Settlement as Eligible Mitigation Actions in order to reduce NOx emissions. Public Works Department requests permission to submit multiple applications to ADECA for this project request as multiple vehicles would fall into the allowable categories to be replaced. The total funding available for the program is $5,810,000, and the program will fund up to 80% of the replacement cost of the vehicle with 20% match required. Applications are due by July 31, 2019.

WHEREAS, Public Works Department requests permission to submit multiple applications to ADECA for this project request as multiple vehicles would fall into the allowable categories to be replaced, and
WHEREAS, the total funding available for the program is $5,810,000, and the program will fund up to 80% of the replacement cost of the vehicle with 20% match required, and
WHEREAS, the applications are due July 31, 2019.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the Public Works Department to submit multiple applications to the ADECA Volkswagen Settlement Eligible Mitigation Action Item Projects.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
