WHEREAS, Council granted permission to the Community Development Department to apply for the FY2019 Alabama Historical Commission’s Historic Preservation Funds Grant on RES 19-1084 to expand the downtown walking tours, increase historical signage along the route, and update the current walking tour brochure, and
WHEREAS, the Alabama Historic Commission has awarded the grant of $5,000 with a 40% cash/in kind match of $3,333, and
WHEREAS, Community Development Department requests to increase 100-2034-4100 (Alabama Historic Commission Grants) by $5,000 in & increase account #100-2034-6026 (Historic Commission Grant Expense) in the amount of $8,333.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Accepts the $5,000 award for the FY2019 Alabama Historical Commission’s Historic Preservation Funds Grant.
SECTION 2: Approves to increase 100-2034-4100 (Alabama Historic Commission Grants) by $5,000 in & increase account #100-2034-6026 (Historic Commission Grant Expense) in the amount of $8,333.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
