A Resolution Requesting to Memorialize the Application and Accept the Award for the FY2019 Alabama Bicentennial Grant

The Historic Depot Museum requests permission to memorialize the application for the FY2019 Alabama Bicentennial Grant in the amount of $2,500 in order to assist in the development of a collections policy for both the Historic Depot Museum and the Hamburg building.      WHEREAS, The Historic Depot Museum requests permission to memorialize the application for the FY2019 Alabama Bicentennial Grant in the amount of $2,500 in order to assist in the development of a collections policy for both the Depot Museum and the Hamburg building, and

 

     WHEREAS, this grant was recommended to the Depot Museum by the Preservation Planner of the Alabama Historic Commission, and

 

     WHEREAS, there are no matching funds required for this award, and

 

     WHEREAS, The Alabama Historic Commission has already submitted this application to the Alabama Bicentennial Commission Foundation on our behalf, and

 

     WHEREAS, the Alabama Bicentennial Foundation has awarded a grant of $2,500 to the City of Foley Depot Museum for the development of the collections policy, and

 

     WHEREAS, the budget needs to be amended by $2,500 in both 100-5060-4300 (AL Bicentennial Grant Revenue) & 100-5060-6020 (Consultant & Professional Fees).

 

     NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

 

     SECTION 1: Grants permission to the Depot Museum to memorialize the application for the FY2019 Alabama Bicentennial Grant.

 

     SECTION 2: Accepts the $2,500 grant awarded from the Alabama Bicentennial Commission Foundation for the development of a collections policy.

 

     SECTION 3: Amends the budget by $2,500 in both 100-5060-4300 (AL Bicentennial Grant Revenue) & 100-5060-6020 (Consultant & Professional Fees)

 

     SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
