WHEREAS, Volkert Inc.'s Supplemental Agreement No. 4 to provide engineering services to rehabilitate access taxiways at the Foley Municipal Airport was accepted by Council on February 18, 2019 by Resolution 19-1048-RES.
WHEREAS, following a visual inspection and review of the project, it was determined that the existing pavement is less than the minimum flexible pavement thickness of 3 inches which will require additional work that was not originally planned. Therefore, the basic services have been revised and the project scope will be revised.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Rescinds Resolution No. 19-1048-RES approving Volkert Inc.'s Supplemental Agreement No. 4 in the amount of $70,441.
SECTION 2: Approves Volkert Inc.'s Supplemental Agreement No. 4 (REVISED) in the amount of $98,078.56 for the design, bid and construction administration and observation for the rehabilitation of access taxiways.
SECTION 3: Approves Volkert going to bid on this project.
SECTION 4: Appropriates $98,078.56 to account number 400-1070-5104 R46 PROF.
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
