A Resolution Approving the Street Dept Purchase of a Bush Hog
Summary
To better serve the citizens of Foley, the Street Department requests to purchase a new 2019 Woods Bush Hog from Coblentz Equipment & Parts Co., Inc. in the total amount of $14,777.00 under State Row Mowing Contract line 2 0200610. It is included in the FY19 Budget under account# 100-3012-5100 for up to $15,000. It will be used in the cutting of Right-of-Ways in the City. The new bush hog would replace a 2012 Rhino Flex Wing bush hog, Ser# FR180-10603, which is worn out and costing too much in repairs. The Street Department also requests that 2012 Rhino Flex Wing bush hog, Ser# FR180-10603 be declared surplus and disposed of through JM Wood Auction in Montgomery, AL or on PWS yard.

WHEREAS, The Street Department needs to purchase a new Bush hog to better serve the citizens of Foley, and
WHEREAS, The total cost of a new 2019 Woods Bush Hog from Coblentz is $14,777.00 under State Row Mowing Contract line 2 0200610, and
WHEREAS, The Bush hog is included in the FY19 Budget under account# 100-3012-5100 for up to $15,000 and
WHEREAS, This new Bush hog is a replacement for a 2012 Rhino Flex Wing bush hog, Ser# FR180-10603, which is worn out and costing too much in repairs, and
WHEREAS, The Street Department also requests that the 2012 Rhino Flex Wing bush hog, Ser# FR180-10603 be declared surplus and disposed of through JM Wood Auction in Montgomery, AL or on PWS yard.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the purchase of a new 2019 Woods Bush Hog from Coblentz under Account# 100-3012-5100 in the total amount of $14,777.00 under State Row Mowing Contract line 2 0200610, and
SECTION 2: Approves the declaration of the 2012 Rhino Flex Wing bush hog, Ser# FR180-10603 as surplus and disposal of it through JM Wood Auction in Montgomery, AL or on Public Works yard.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
