Summary
The Foley Fire Department requests permission to purchase a new SCBA fit test machine and to deem the current fit test machine as surplus as it is no longer needed for a public purpose and requests permission to dispose of it by the best method available. The current machine is almost 15 years old and can no longer be calibrated as required by NFPA . This is a planned capital expense and is expected to be at or under budget in an amount of $8,429 with a service plan contract for an additional year beyond the the manufacturer warranty in the amount of $1,030.
