The City of Gulf Shores is requesting to install a new traffic signal at the intersection of Coastal Gateway Blvd. (County Road 8 East) and the Foley Beach Express and we acknowledge that this signal will not compromise the integrity of the Foley Beach Express. The City of Foley is not the Permitting Agency for this section of the FBE, but we expect to benefit from a reduction in traffic on CR 12 between SR 59 and the FBE due to this additional connection. The City of Gulf Shores is asking for a Letter of Support from the City of Foley.

WHEREAS, The City of Gulf Shores is requesting to install a new traffic signal at the intersection of Coastal Gateway Blvd. (County Road 8 East) and the Foley Beach Express, and
WHEREAS, This signal will not compromise the integrity of the Foley Beach Express, and
WHEREAS, The City of Foley is not the Permitting Agency for this section of the FBE, but expects to benefit from a reduction in traffic on CR 12 between SR 59 and the FBE due to this additional connection.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Authorizes the Mayor to sign a letter in support of the City of Gulf Shores' request for a new traffic signal to be installed at the intersection of Coastal Gateway Blvd. (County Road 8 East) and the Foley Beach Express.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
