The Snook Youth Club's UC Unit was struck by lightening and needed to be replaced. A new 15 ton Trane Straight Cool System with 30KW Electric Heat was purchased and installed from Fields Cooling Heat and Refrigeration for the total cost of $15,500.00. Snook Insurance covered $12,800.00 of the total cost and the City paid the remaining $2,700.00.

WHEREAS, the air conditioning at the City building currently occupied by Snook Youth Club was struck by lightening and needed to be replaced immediately for the health and welfare of the occupants, and
WHEREAS, the air conditioning unit (15 ton Trane straight Cool System with 30KW Electric Heat) was bought and installed by Fields Cooling Heating & Refrigeration in the amount of $15,500.00, and
WHEREAS, Snook Youth Club's insurance paid $12, 800.00 and the City of Foley paid the remaining $2,700.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Foley, Alabama as follows:
SECTION 1: Memorializes the purchase and installation of a replacement air conditioning unit and the City's cost of $2,700.00.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
