Approval requested by the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce to hold a one day event (Chicago Street Supper Club) Thursday, October 4, 2018 between 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. on Chicago Street, Foley, AL. and to hold a one day festival Alabama Festival of Flavor) and serve alcohol in the streets of Historic Downtown Foley on Saturday, October 6, 2018.
The Chamber also requests closure of Chicago Street beginning Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 7:00 a.m. and ending on Friday, October 5, 2018 and closure of Orange Avenue between South Baldwin Family Practice place of business to the west and Hwy 59 to the east, Alston Avenue from Hwy 98 to the north and then south to Verbena Avenue, just north of the intersection, beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 5, 2018 until 12:00 a.m. Sunday, October 7, 2018.
The Chamber also requests approval to allow merchants in the Downtown Foley Historic District to bring their merchandise outdoors onto City sidewalks and festival designated public parking areas; assistance from the Foley Police Department with placement of barricades, use and placement of picnic tables and trash receptacles and placement of signage that will be provided by the Chamber.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce's request to hold a one day event (Chicago Street Supper Club) Thursday, October 4, 2018 between 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. on Chicago Street, Foley, AL. contingent upon Foley Police Department and Foley Fire Department approval.
