WHEREAS, the City of Foley, Alabama previously purchased K-9 dog named Donja. Donja has trained and bonded with her handler Tommy Smith over the last 7 years and he wishes for her to be retired to him which is standard practice. During her career, Donja has made 143 arrests.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

SECTION 1: Approves declaring surplus and retiring Police K-9 Donja to her handler, Tommy Smith.
