WHEREAS, bids were solicited and opened on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. for Constructing an 8-Unit T-Hangar and Access Taxiway - Phase II for which the work on this project is not planned to begin until FY19.
WHEREAS, SE Stagner Inc. submitted the lowest responsible in the amount of $684,191.50 for the construction of the taxiway and T-Hangar .
WHEREAS, ALDOT's review of Volkert Supplemental Agreement No. 2 and 3 resulted in adjustments to the overhead and labor rates previously approved by Resolution No.18-1037-RES and 18-1043-RES resulting in an overall increase of $5,431.75 to Supplemental Agreement No. 2 for the access taxiways and an increase of $6,098.72 to Supplemental Agreement No 3 for construction of the T-Hangar Units.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Accepts SE Stagners bid in the amount of $684,191.50.
SECTION 2: Approves appropiation in the FY19 budget for Taxiway Construction to reflect a project estimate of $305,761.50 with a 10% contingency for a total of $336,337.65 appropriation in the FY19 Budget for the T-Hangar Construction to reflect a project estimate of $378,430 plus a 10% contingency for a total of $416,273.
SECTION 3: Accepts Amendment 1 to Volkert's Supplemental Agreement No. 1 and Supplemental Agreement No. 2.
SECTION 4: Amends account number 400-665-7389 R36 PROF to appropriate an additional 8,080.72 for taxiway engineering and admin fees and Amends account 400-665-7390 R37 PROF to approprate an addition $5,992.34 for T-Hangar engineering fees to reflect ALDOT rate adjustments.
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
