The Foley Fire Department has planned for the purchase and order of a ladder truck in FY24 for the St. 3 response area due to continued commercial growth. The projected delivery time from the customer order date is currently 27 - 30 months. NAFECO has offered to place a dealer order for a truck that would meet our specifications and cut considerable time off of the build and delivery process. This would also save 8 - 12 percent in the purchase price due to anticipated increases over the next year. We are asking approval for the Mayor to sign and issue a letter of intent to purchase with NAFECO in order to start the process.
