Request budgeted capital purchase of additional nine baskets and tee pads for Graham Creek's disc golf course. The addition will complete the competition disc golf course. The baskets are supplied by Gulf Coast High Flyers at a cost of $3605.85. There are also 36 tee pads to be constructed of concrete as the course is restructured at an anticipated cost of $4500 for a total project of up to $8105.85. The new course was designed by the local disc golfers.

WHEREAS, disc golf is a sport growing in popularity locally.
WHEREAS, Graham Creek Nature Preserve currently has a nine hole disc golf course that is used regularly and is probably the most popular recreational attraction with groups playing daily.
WHEREAS, competition disc golf courses typically have eighteen holes with varying difficulties.
WHEREAS, the local disc golfers have requested an additional nine holes and new tee pads in order to host competitions this year.
WHEREAS, the local disc golfers have designed the new course based on the local course users.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
