A Resolution Reappointing Charlie Fisher and appointing Don Auseon to the Senior Citizens Board

 

Summary

Charlie Fisher and Bob Graham on the Senior Citizens Board.  Bob Graham's term expires on October 1, 2015 and he no longer wishes to serve.  Charlie Fisher's term expires on October 16, 2015  He is willing to serve another term of office.   Don Auseon, who is very active at the Senior Center, is willing to fill the vacancy left by Bob Graham. Pam Harris approves this appointment.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the State of Alabama Ethics Commission says that public officials/board members fall under the State Ethics Law, and therefore should have the opportunity to educate themselves regarding this law, and

WHEREAS, the Alabama Ethics Commission has recently developed an online video training of the Alabama Ethics Law, which can be accessed at their website at www.ethics.alabama.gov, and

WHEREAS, all newly appointed and reappointed board members must submit a copy of their training certification to the City of Foley as a condition to being appointed/reappointed to the boards.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

                     SECTION 1:                     Appoints Don Auseon to the Senior Citizens Board beginning October 2, 2015 and ending on October 3, 2017 based on the conditions that he submits a copy of the Alabama Ethics Law certification to the City Clerk to be included in the City's General Files.

                     SECTION 2:                     Reappoints Charlie Fisher to the Senior Citizens Board beginning  October 17, 2015 and ending on October 18, 2017 based on the conditions that he submits a copy of the Alabama Ethics Law certification to the City Clerk to be included in the City's General Files.

SECTION 3:                     This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
