Summary
Description of Topic: (who, what, where, when, why and how much) Traffic signal upgrades were approved on Foley Beach Express (Now SR 161). ALDOT will be connecting the signals on SR 161 at Miflin Rd and OWA as well as retiming the traffic signals to coordinate/synchronize the signals. ALDOT stated they could provide upgrades to the traffic signals on Miflin Rd at the intersections of OWA, Juniper St, and Pride Blvd. Engineering would like to upgrade and modernize the three intersections on Miflin Rd . To achieve this we would need cellular modem connectivity, controller upgrades at Miflin Rd and Pride Blvd, a PTZ camera at Miflin Rd and Pride Blvd, and an upgrade to the new Currex System at Miflin Rd and OWA to match the current system at Pride Blvd and Juniper St.
