A Resolution Approving the Upgrade of the Mathis Park Playground and applying for the Gametime Matching Funds Grant.
Summary
Parks & Recreation would like to renovate the playground in Mathis Park which is in need of an upgrade. The Aaronville community voted on the layout and renderings will be available in the near future. The total for the equipment and installation is up to $150,000 and will provide us with matching funds from Gametime with an OMNIA Partners discount pricing up to $60,043 for the larger play structures. We are requesting an additional $60,000 to cover demolition, grading work, fencing around the completed park, and building sidewalks as well as contingency funds. We are also requesting permission to go to bid for demolition, grading work, installation, fencing, and sidewalks as required. The total cost of the project will be $210,000.
