Description of Topic: (who, what, where, when, why and how much) Resolution 25-1475 awarded the bid to L & K Construction LLC for the Miflin Road Access Management Plan Phase 1. The contractor has taken measures to the best of their ability and plans to address cross traffic issues along the congested area near the intersection of Highway 59 and CR20 (Miflin Road), which is in close proximity to Chick Fil A; however, they are having safety concerns with traffic. Foley Police Department's close patrols have assisted but it has been determined there is a need for an off-duty officer stationed on-site in order to safely proceed with the project. There are available funds for this project and Engineering is asking to approve, appropriate, and memorialize L & K Construction's change order for additional funding request for police presence.
