The Police Department is struggling to recruit and/or to retain qualified Corrections Officers and Communications Officers. A market study reveals that Foley's pay rates for these positions are lower than our surrounding cities. Therefore, this resolution adjusts the pay rates for Corrections Officers and Communications Officers to be more in line with other local entities and to provide our Police Department a more competitive edge when recruiting and hiring as well as for better retention of these positions.
