Approving the Mayor and staff to negotiate with a consulting company to operate the Hot Air Balloon Festival and authorize Tommy Rachel to go to the Natchez Mississippi Balloon Festival and to appropriate funds in an amount not to exceed $2,000 in support of this action.

WHEREAS, the South Alabama Chamber of Commerce is unable to continue to sponser the Hot Air Balloon Festival, and
WHEREAS, it is the City's desire to continue the annual Hot Air Balloon Festival in the City of Foley.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1:       Approves the Mayor and staff to negotiate with a consulting company to operate the Hot Air Balloon Festival.
SECTION 2:      Authorizes Tommy Rachel to go to the Natchez Mississippi Balloon Festival.
SECTION 3:      Appropriate funds in an amount not to exceed $2,000 in support of this action into Account No. 01-620-3210.
SECTION 4:      This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
