DESCRIPTION OF TOPIC:
The Police Department is in need of a program to track our local Pawn Shops, recycling centers, and precious metal dealers. This program will be made available free to the businesses as it is web based. This will allow the PD to track items and persons not just locally but nationally with over 30,000 cities using this program. We budgeted $10,000.00 to purchase and equip a CID enclosed trailer and the total cost came to $6,695.00. We are requesting to spend $2,553.00 of the remaining balance of $3305.00 to purchase this program. This program will greatly enhance our investigators in tracking down stolen property not just from our city but all surrounding areas. $4378.00 will be budgeted in the fiscal 2015 year in Content Hosting account.

WHEREAS, the Police Department is in need of a program to track local pawn shops, recycling centers, and precious metal dealers, and
WHEREAS, this program will be used to track stolen items and persons nationally with over 30,000 cities, and
WHEREAS, in the FY2014 the Police Department budgeted $10,000 to purchase and equip a CID enclosed trailer and the total cost was $6,695 leaving a balance of $3,305, and
WHEREAS, the computer tracking program costs a total of $2,553.
