WHEREAS, The Sanitation Worker I has taken on more essential job duties then just custodial duties, and
WHEREAS, A current job analysis indicates the job title should be modified to Sanitation Worker II/Custodian and the pay rate adjusted from a Grade 10 to a Grade 30, and
WHEREAS, The Pay Classification Plan needs to be modified to adjust the job title and pay rate to be more in-line with this position's current essential functions.
WHEREAS, This action would require approximately $565.00 and can be transferred out of the Reserve for Salaries Increase account and therefore is budget neutral.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Modifies the job title of the Sanitation Worker I (Job Code #4010101) to Sanitation Worker II/Custodian (Job Code #4010108) and increases the pay grade from G-10 to G-30, effective Pay Period beginning July 21, 2020.
SECTION 2: Authorizes a transfer of funds from the Reserve for Salaries Account (#100-9200-5999) to the various Sanitation personnel accounts in the approximate amount of $565.00, with a journal entry to be provided from HR to the Finance Division detailing line item transfer amounts.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
