A Resolution to Modify Residential Sanitation Collection Fees

WHEREAS, on July 1, 2013 Council adopted Ordinance 13-1034, which states in Section 5. Monthly charges for various types and frequency of waste collections shall be set by the City, and may be amended by the City as needed by resolution, and shall be charged to the customer on the monthly utility bill, and
WHEREAS, the City finds it necessary and proper to increase the residential sanitation collection fees in the City by $3.75 per unit, per month.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the cost increase for mandatory residential sanitation services within the City of Foley, unless and until amended, shall be Nineteen Dollars and Seventy Five Cents ($19.75) per month per residential unit for the first garbage can and then Sixteen Dollars ($16.00) for each additional garbage can effective on August 1, 2019.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
