A Resolution Appropriating Funds and Approving the Purchase and Installation of Additional Public Safety System Cameras
Summary
With Phase 1 being approved and implemented last budget year, the Foley Police Department is requesting to appropriate funds and move forward with Phase 2 of the Public Safety Systems Improvement Capital Project. Phase 2 would require the purchase of additional cameras and installation not to exceed the budgeted amount of $40,000.00, under account #400-2010-5106-Public Safety System Improvements. The bidding process will not be required for this purchase as it falls under State of Alabama Competitive Bid Law exemption #15, contractual services and purchases of products related to, or having an impact upon, security plans, procedures, assessments, measures, or systems or the security of safety of persons, structures, facilities or infrastructures. A sole source letter has been provided from Flock Safety along with patent numbers for their products.
