WHEREAS, the Snook Family YMCA and Bounds Family Y Campaign for Youth and Families holds fundraisers to raise money for families in our surrounding area who need financial assistance to belong to and/or participate in programs offered by the YMCA.
WHEREAS, on Septemer 14, 2013 the YMCA requests permission to hold a "Y" Get Dirty Mud Run as a fundraising event at Graham Creek Nature Preserve.
WHEREAS, the event will host an after race event with Bob Baumhower serving and selling food and alcohol.
WHEREAS, the YMCA will build temporary and permanent obstacles along the specified race course upon approval by the City Environmental Manager.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the rental of the Graham Creek Nature Preserve to host the "Y" Get Dirty Mud Run on September 14, 2013, to include the distribution of food and alcohol under Bob Baumhower's licensing and per the requirements of the ABC Board.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
