A Resolution to Reappoint Ellen Dean, Deborah Mixon and Patricia Davis to the Foley Revitalization and Beautification Advisory Board.

Summary

Ms. Dean's and Mrs. Mixon's terms expires on October 23, 2020 and they are willing to serve another term.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the State of Alabama Ethics Commission says that public officials/board members fall under the State Ethics Law, and therefore should have the opportunity to educate themselves regarding this law, and

WHEREAS, the Alabama Ethics Commission has developed an online video training of the Alabama Ethics Law, which can be accessed at their website at www.ethics.alabama.gov, <http://www.ethics.alabama.gov,> and

WHEREAS, all newly appointed and reappointed board members must submit a copy of their training certification to the City of Foley as a condition to being appointed/reappointed to the boards.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

 

SECTION 1: Reappoints Ellen Dean and Deborah Mixon to the Foley Revitalization and Beautification Advisory Board beginning on October 26, 2023 and ending on October 27, 2026 based on the conditions that they submit a copy of the Alabama Ethics Law certification to the City Clerk to be included in the City's General Files.

 

SECTION 2:   Reappoints Patricia Davis to the Foley Revitalization and Beautification Advisory Board beginning on October 12, 2023 and ending on October 13, 2026 based on the conditions that she submit a copy of the Alabama Ethics Law certification to the City Clerk to be included in the City's General Files.

 

            SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
