The coolers that have been installed at the Peavey building need to have a fire suppression system as required by State Law.  Mechanical Fire Protection, Inc. submitted a quote in the amount of $30,470.73 to modify the existing fire sprinkler system to cover new freezers and coolers.

WHEREAS, the State Fire Code requires freezers and coolers of a certain size to have a fire suppression system installed in them, and
WHEREAS, Mechanical Fire Protection, Inc. has submitted a quote to modify the existing fire sprinkler system to cover new freezers and coolers.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1:       Appropriates $30,470.73 for the purpose of modifying the existing fire sprinkler system to cover new freezers and coolers in the Peavey building, which is a part of the NMTC transaction and approves the transfer from General Fund Account No. 01-680-0182 to the City of Foley Public Facilities Cooperative District in support of this action.
SECTION 2:      This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
