Request to go to bid on (1) Custom Fire Pumper to be used as a first-out duty engine at Fire Station 1. This will allow us to surplus and resale our 1995 E-One pumper while it still has considerable market value. It will also prepare our fleet for the anticipated new fire station in Glenlakes. This is a budgeted capital purchase in the Fire Ad Valorem Fund with a $100,000 transfer from the General Fund.

WHEREAS, the Fire Department has a request for a new Custom Fire Pumper to be used as a first-out duty engine in the Capital Purchase - Fire Ad Valorem Account under 02-600-7010 in the amount of $400,000, and
WHEREAS, the new Custom Fire Pumper will replace a 1995 E-One Custom Pumper.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves staff going to bid on the new vehicle which is included in the FY2013 Budget in the amount of $400,000.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
