A Resolution Approving Additional Improvements at Mel Roberts Park.
Summary
In FY23, the council approved the Mel Roberts Park Improvements Capital Project and allocated $1.5 million, Resolution #23-1356. This project consisted of new ball field lighting, a new bathroom/concessions building, and new scoreboards. These aspects of the project were completed in July 2024. The project has $295,000 remaining and we are requesting permission to use these funds to install irrigation on the 3 ball fields, install new bermunda sod on these fields, build a barn to store equipment and mowers, and replace fencing and backstop netting. We expect to begin this work in August.
