Body
WHEREAS, the Foley Art Center is requesting to host a Pop Up Arts and Crafts Show on Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm at 211 N. McKenzie Street with a rain date of April 16, 2022, and
WHEREAS, the Foley Art Center is requesting to block the alley behind the Art Center and Foley Coffee Shop from 6:00 am until 5:00 pm, and
WHEREAS, there will be approximately 25 local vendors who are current members of the Foley Art Center, and
WHEREAS, the inside of the Gallery will be opened as well to shop from items in the Gallery from over 100 local Artists and Craftsmen member, and
WHEREAS, all sales go through the Gallery, the Foley Art Center will collect and remit Sales Tax, and
WHEREAS, the Foley Art Center is requesting additional pink garbage cans from Public Works to be delivered on Friday, April 8, 2022 and six orange traffic cones from the Police Department to be delivered to behind the fence at the Gallery on Friday, April 8, 2022, and
WHEREAS, the Foley Art Center will purchase Special Event Liability Insurance for the event.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the Foley Art Center to host a one day Pop Up Arts and Crafts show on Saturday, April 9, 2022 (rain date Aril 16, 2022).
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
