Adjutant Howard E. Larinan of the American Legion Foley Post 99 has requested the use of Max Griffin Park on November 11, 2013. The lineup for the parade will begin at 9:30 A.M. with the parade beginning at 10:00 A.M. He is requesting the Foley Police Department to lead the parade and he is also requesting the speaker platform, chairs and speaker system for the ceremony.

WHEREAS, American Legion Post 99 has requested the use of the east end (Veterans Monument) of Max Griffin Park on November 11, 2013 and have further requested to hold the annual Veteran's Day parade to be lead by the Foley Police Department as well as a ceremony, and
WHEREAS, they have further requested the the use of the City's portable stage, ten (10) chairs, and the speaker system for the ceremony.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves holding the Veteran's Day Parade (route as provided in the attached map) and Ceremony on November 11, 2013 and approves the use of the portable stage, chairs and speaker system.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
