A Resolution Authorizing Advertisement of the Required Public Hearing for FY2021 CDBG Application

 

Summary

The Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) is currently accepting applications for Fiscal Year 2020 Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) through August 16, 2021. The City of Foley is interested in applying for CDBG funds to pay for upgrades to the Aaronville Park. ADECA requires municipalities to hold a Public Hearing prior to submission of the application in order to inform the public of the intent to apply. City of Foley authorizes the placement of appropriate advertisements notifying the public of a CDBG Public Hearing that will be held at the regular Council Meeting on July 19, 2021.

     WHEREAS, the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) is currently accepting applications for Fiscal Year 2021 Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) through August 16, 2021; and

     WHEREAS, the City of Foley is interested in applying for CDBG funds to pay for upgrades to the Aaronville Park; and

     WHEREAS, ADECA requires municipalities to hold a Public Hearing prior to submission of the application in order to inform the public of the intent to apply;

 

     NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

 

     SECTION 1: City of Foley authorizes the placement of appropriate advertisements notifying the public of a CDBG Public Hearing that will be held at the regular Council Meeting on July 19, 2021.

 

     SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
