DESCRIPTION OF TOPIC:
The Police Department is seeking approval to enter into a service agreement for a cloud based Data System with New Ops, Inc. We will be joining a Data System that will allow Foley Police Department to share selected data with Baldwin and Mobile Counties Sheriff's Offices along with other Municipalities in our area. This data sharing will allow all users useful information in tracking criminal activities and those that are committing the crimes. The initial cost joining this system as shown on Page 6, number 25.-Special Provisions and Contingencies comes to $6,000 for User License & Installation and will be paid from Federal Foreitures money held. The Monthly User Fee for FY14 will run approximately $4,750 and will be paid from Local Drug money held. (No affect to cash flow since restricted cash is being used this year).
Note: The Monthly User Fee and Annual License Renewal will be budgeted in Fiscal 2015 and paid from General Fund unrestricted cash.
