A Resolution Waiving Fees for the Use of Heritage Park and Pavilion on Saturday March 11, 2023 for South Baldwin Chamber Foundation's Concert Event and temporarily closing East Violet Avenue.

WHEREAS, the South Baldwin Chamber Foundation has requested the use of Heritage Park and Pavilion at no charge on March 10 & 11, 2023 for their BBQ & Blues Cook-Off fundraising event; and
WHEREAS, South Baldwin Chamber Foundation has requested the use of the Heritage Park and Pavilion on Saturday March 11, 2023 for a concert with the band Wet Willie from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm to provide entertainment, food trucks and the sale of beer and wine to the public; and
WHEREAS, Staff recommends closing East Violet Avenue between Highway 59 and Chicago Street for safety;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Waives the fees for the use of Heritage Park and Pavilion requested by the South Baldwin Chamber Foundation for their concert event on March 11, 2023;
SECTION 2: Approves the closure of East Violet Avenue between Highway 59 and Chicago Street on Saturday March 11th from 7 am until 10 pm;
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
