THE USE OF ALCOHOL AND SPARKLERS IN THE HERITAGE PARK PAVILION FOR A WEDDING
Summary
Cecily Lynn has requested the use of the Heritage Park Pavilion for her wedding and wishes the use of alcohol and sparklers. She has requested to use the park for 7 hours on March 14, 2015 between 3:30 PM and 10:30 PM. She will have the have the reception catered and will set up one or two tents for the event. She would like access to electricity to power a couple of speakers/microphones too. The total for the use of Heritage Park for this event comes to $525.00. The City of Foley has an ordinance regulating the use of fireworks inside the City's corporate limits, which is not permitted. Alcohol is also not allowed in public parks.

USE OF HERITAGE PARK PAVILION
WHEREAS, Cecily Lynn and Hristos Potouridis has requested the use of Heritage Park and Pavilion on March 14, 2015 for their wedding and reception event.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1. Approves the use of Heritage Park and Pavilion requested by Cecily Lynn and Hristos Potouridis for their wedding/reception on March 14, 2015 from 3:30 PM to 10:30 PM contingent upon the purchase and proof of purchase of wedding liability insurance naming the City of Foley as an additional insured.
SECTION 2. Sparklers are not allowed in the City as they are considered fireworks, which are forbidden according to Ordinance 928-06.
SECTION 3. Approves the serving of alcohol contigent upon one on duty Foley Police Officer is present during the hours of the event.
SECTION 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
