ACCEPTANCE OF THE ADCNR GRANT FOR COMP PLAN UPDATE

WHEREAS, Resolution 17-1001 approved the application to the AL Department of Conservation & Natural Resources, State Lands Division, Coastal Section for grant funding;
WHEREAS, the grant is a 50/50 requiring a match of $25,000 cash and/or in-kind services.
NOW THEREFORE LET IT BE RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, AL as follows:
SECTION 1: Accepts the AL Department of Conservation & Natural Resources, State Lands Division, Coastal Section grant in the amount of $25,000 to update a portion of the Comprehensive Plan.
SECTION 2: Appoints Miriam Boutwell to serve as the Grant Manager, who will be responsible for submitting all required reports, reimbursement requests, and other correspondence to the Granting Agency and the City’s Grant Administrator.
SECTION 3: Grantee Cost Reports will be submitted to the AL Department of Conservation & Natural Resources, State Lands Division, Coastal Section as required.
SECTION 4: Approves the expenditure of the grant funds and amends the budget for the following accounts: Revenue Account 01-4988 increase $25,000. The match will be $5,000 from Account 615-3020, and $20,000 of in-kind services currently budgeted in Personnel related accounts.
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
