The Police Department requests to amend the pay plan by eliminating one slot in the Corrections Officer (Grade 100) position and adding one slot in the Corrections Sergeant (Grade 130) position to improve the ranking structure of the Corrections division.This will give us two Sergeants to develop and will give us more career path opportunities for our Corrections Officers to help with retention and morale. The Police Department is significantly under budget this fiscal year which makes this request budget neutral.
After a job analysis was conducted, the Street Department requests to amend the pay plan by eliminating the vacant position of Street Construction Superintendent (Grade 170) and creating the position of Heavy Equipment Operator III (Grade 110) to improve efficiencies in the road construction crew. This request is also budget neutral due to vacancies in the department.
