Request transfering budgeted funds from General Government to create two new City Departments - Economic Development (Jeff Rouzie, Director) and Sports Tourism/Event Management (Don Staley, Director). Salaries and other expenses of these new departments would be moved from General Government to create these departments with no effect to the General Fund budget.
Also request new appropriations totaling $67,485 for the Sports Tourism/Event Management Director's use in promotion of City sports and event facilities.

WHEREAS, it is prudent to move budgeted funds from General Government and create departments specific to the functions of Economic Development and Sports Tourism/Event Management, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Sports Tourism/Event Managment requires the appropriation of an additional $67,485 to be used for the promotion of sports and event facilities.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Authorizes Finance to work with the Directors of Economic Development Director and Sports Tourism/Event Managment to develop the budget account layout for their Departments.
